  1.                               CORNEAL SENSITIVITY CHANGE WITH AGE

Decreased corneal sensitivity may be a positive with respect to contact lens wear due to less sensation from the lenses.  However, it may put the patient in jeopardy of developing a corneal abrasion or infection and not realizing it.  You need to understand that different patients have different sensitivities and appropriately counsel the patient.
